Ratko Janjić-Jobo - Biography

Ratko Janjić Jobo was born in Split in 1941. He graduated from the Split Technical School. In 1965 he received his degree at the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb, under tutorship of Professor Vjekoslav Parać. He was a collaborator of Krsto Hegedušić Master’s Workshop in Zagreb from 1966 to 1971. He actively participated in design and execution of Krsto Hegedušić’s frescoes at Tjentište from 1971 to 1973. He used to work as Art Director and Editor of Publications for Children with the publishing company “Naprijed” from 1975 to 1994. He is mostly preoccupied with design, interior decorating and stage design. Since 2000 he has been Professor with the Department of Textile and Clothing Design at the Faculty of Textile Technology in Zagreb.
