Jože Ciuha - Biography

Jože Ciuha was born in 1924 in Trbovlje. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Ljubljana. He presented his works at over 400 one-man and 300 group exhibitions. He received several awards, among others the Prešern Fund Award, the Jakopič Award, the French title of the Chevalier of Fine Arts and Literature, the Austrian Honorary Cross of Sciences and Arts and of the Rank. He is a Member of the Russian Academy of Arts. He dedicates himself to painting, graphic arts, mosaic and literature.
